I am an EB2 I applicant and my PD became current this month. If I do not care, I wouldn’t even be checking out this thread.I understand your pain and frustration, I was stuck too for a long time in the old labor process before perm came.

EB2 I people do not think EB3 I people are jealous.I do not think Rolling Flood is from India, let alone being an EB2 I applicant. He just rolled in thinking he can open a flood gate of arguments and counter-arguments, let’s just prove him wrong.

I just hope that EB2I people (other than rolling whatever) show some concern for EB3I.Whatsoever is written in this forum, is THAT going to take the dates forward or backward? No it is not.If someone from EB3I is expressing some frustration, just empathize with him/her and let it be.We all are happy that EB2I dates moved forward.A lot of my friends are EB2 2006 and I have called each of them expressing my happiness. All I and other EB3 in this forum can expect is that there would be someone to fight with us and for us when all Eb2's get their GC.

A Call to Advocacy for Nonprofits (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/19/AR2007111901333.html) By Jeffrey H.Birnbaum | Washington Post, November 20, 2007

Charities are sweet things, but Gary D.Ba*s wants them to get rough and tumble when it comes to dealing with government.

In his new book, "Seen But Not Heard: Strengthening Nonprofit Advocacy," Ba*s and three co-authors argue that charities need to lobby more often and more effectively."Democracy would be better off," said Ba*s, executive director of OMB Watch, a nonprofit group that pushes for government accountability.

Most people -- and, clearly, most charities -- think of lobbyists as corporate frontmen trying to grab taxpayer largesse for themselves. They also consider lobbying kind of dirty, given the criminality of infamous lobbyists such as the now-imprisoned Jack Abramoff.

But lobbyists come in all shapes and sizes, including the charitable sort.Ba*s's book, which is part of a larger effort called the Strengthening Nonprofit Advocacy Project, or SNAP, is a useful reminder of that.

Ba*s has been trying to convince charities for years that they should not be afraid to lobby. He and others, including the Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest, have even devised ways to ease -- or at least simplify -- the limitations now imposed on charities so they can press their causes more aggressively.

That's right, they are lobbying to be allowed to lobby more.

Conservative lawmakers and a few campaign-finance scholars don't like the idea. They worry that, among other things, the ability of charities to keep their donors anonymous could lead to huge and largely untraceable infusions of cash into elections, all under the guise of lobbying.

And please, call it advocacy.Charities don't like to use the "L" word.Only a third of nonprofits polled recently owned up to "lobbying" two or more times a month. But when asked if they "advocate," closer to half admitted to that.

Many nonprofits also are unsure how much lobbying the law permits them to do.Only 72 percent even knew that they could support or oppose federal legislation.(They can, up to a point.)

Ba*s's biggest problem is convincing charities that they not only can make their case to government, but that they really ought to do so .In effect, he needs to convince his fellow do-gooders that lobbying is not so bad.

"Nonprofit lobbyists have been involved in nearly every major public policy accomplishment in this country -- from civil rights to environmental protection to health care," Ba*s said in an e-mail."Tens of thousands of lives have been saved by pa*sing laws that improve car safety and reduce drunk driving."

"In other words, nonprofit lobbying is an honorable tradition," he added, "and not just the ugly Abramoff side" of the profession.

Convincing charities of that, however, will not be a snap.

American Army was not hiding in World Trade Center and launching rockets on the civilians in Saudi from there. There was absolutely no target of military importance in WTC.Civilians got killed in Gaza because terrorist were hiding among them.

Quit hiding among women and children and fight like man on battlefield.

when you have two sides claiming two opposite stories, it is not reasonable to have one side be the defendant and the judge at the same time.
The UN and International Red Cross who are on the ground there declared the Israeli claims of militants in the bombed civilian areas bogus..foreign journalist might have confirmed that too (ah..forgot that Israel banned foreign journalists from entering Gaza..wonder why?)
If we dismiss independent testimony just because the defendent says so, every criminal will go get a free hand..plz let me hear ur logic for doing that

There is no point in dividing the forum.I think if someone wants to do something like this then the best course of action is to take this outside the forum or through PM.

    Lawsuits are not child's play...

If you find enough people and have solid plan in place, I am willing to pay anywhere between $500 to $1000 towards the lawyer's fees....

Sanju gave very good explanation here.

I'm sure some of the readers would already know what I'm saying in my post and like many of them I almost stayed away from posting but for the benefit of those few ( even if it's one person) who might wonder if Gita could have been doctored I decided to share what I know .Again I felt the need to post because the idea was brought up by Sanju(NO..I'm not accusing you Sanju...nor 'm I preaching Gitaism here.Again it's just for the benefit of that few sincere folks...others can stick to Sanju's version...no harm.)

Hindu society all through the monarchical times was blessed with Enlightened Masters who willfully(for a person who had realized the ultimate truth material positions don't matter) served as subordinates (Mahamantri, ,Rajguru )to the Kings .

These enlightened gurus were the protectors of some of our scriptures(just some because many of the scriptures were outside the intellectual realm of many kings no matter how powerful they were) be it shastras, stotra or sutras.

Now before one goes on a spin with these enlightened masters let me also remind everyone that none of the great works are patented or owned by any king or master(unlike in some societies). They did truly protect our scriptures so they can be pa*sed on to us, leaving these great works for use/abuse (based on the individuals intelligence/intention) popular examples in today's world being yoga/kamasutra (both are great spiritual mechanisms but are greatly misused so much so that one can't name (one of them) without feeling wee bit embarra*sed).

If one was to trace the evil practices like caste system they wouldn't find the roots in any of these scriptures. Now these evil practices, I would say were doctored/cooked up by people/kings, but Hindu scriptures were out of the reach of these people.

These scriptures are wired in such a way that to change them one needs to be highly evolved(not just highly educated or filled with dry intelligence) , to understand them one needs to be sincere seeker not professional seeker.

Also Vedic Culture which is way of life, a civilization got reduced to mere religion only after foreigners came to Bharatavarsha (although the basic pillars remain the same..dharma , karma ...)

    Thank you.

oh, ya!So just because you follow a specific faith, it has got to be pious, and books of other religions have been doctored. There is nothing new to this view.Every man on this planet adheres to this view.

You see, every book has been changed during the course of human history. It doesn't mean that they were tottaly changed, but in a way there have been elements added and deleted from these books. So there are parts of these books which are good and teach us to love all of humanity and our sorroundings, then there are those parts in each such book, and those parts have been very carefully added by thugs and cheats during the period of time, such that they could keep control and grip on the comman people and at the same time spread their religion/world view.Anything that remotely peaches hate towards anyone cannot be the word of "God", whether it calls people of other religions as Kafirs ordering to kill them, or, whether it calls "non believers" as evil going to helll, or if it implements caste system. They are all the same. The true nature of the supreme being, the creator, is nothing but love and every thought in contradiction to the nature of supreme being is plain false. And older the religion, more the chances of that religion getting docotered by greater number of kings.

You have reasons to accept that these books have been doctored but your ego is not letting you accept that things you have believed in your life could be wrong.Thats not just your problem, any person following any religion has the same problem.

It is your responsibility that you don't pa*s on this disease on the mankind called religion, to your next generation. For too long the progress of minkind have been hindered by this disease. The progress you see in 21st century is not because of religion, but inspite of it.99% of all inventions from Tesla's AC current to the first flight of Wright brother, they were all conducted in the country where there is separation of state and religion.I bet you, if religion was part of the consitution of US, no progress would have been possible.

Its time to shed your ego that my religion is pious and others religions are wrong because all oraganized religions are wrong. And even if you want to lean against some religion, try to question every part of every religion that is peached and see it with a critical view.it will become easier for you to separate the diamonds from the dunghill.

There are many uses for this.If you look at the bottom left hand corner of g-325a there is some annotations to it.One of the g-325a's get sent to the consulate. Now; what does the consulate do with it????Do they compare it with your original visa application of what your last occupation/address was?

Do you really think they would send the G-325a to the consulate?Do the consulates keep all the records? For how long?I heard from immigrationportal, somebody said they only send G-325a to the consulate if one applied a visa within one year prior to AOS application. Can anyone confirm this?

If they send everyone's G-325a form to the consulates, would that result in another backlog? Thanks.

All the religeous books were written based on contemporary circumstances.I have a friend named Mansuri, mentioned to me once why muslims don't eat turtles:

"Few animals with hard shell were not hygenic or dangerous like crocodile. It was difficult to explain each animal separately to common people. So Mohammad advised that animals with hard shell should not be eaten."

Another one told by my friend Maqsood:

"There were lots of cabella wars going on at the time of Mohammad. The prophet allowed to have more than one wives so that those ladies don't go on wrong route like prostitution."

Above examples seem acceptable over that time.At today they are not relevant anymore. Some people still want to follow the same words spoken 1300 years before literally without applying a slightest brain. They are abused and misguided by some selfish Mullahs who have their own agenda in life.

Rather than abusing entire community, need to educate "spoiled kids" how they are misguided in current time.Unfortunately percentage of "spoiled kids" are very high as I mentioned in one of posts before.

  • With Washington becoming increasingly preoccupied with the Middle East, it will have less opportunity to focus on China. At the same time, the return of a US policy aimed at promoting democratisation could have a destabilising effect on SinoUS relations.China might rea*sess how it shapes its relations with highly repressive regimes, and it will have to take into account that Western countries are now better positioned to push resolutions aimed at intervening in certain types of countries through the UN Security Council (UNSC).

The uprisings run counter to a*sumptions that the predominant struggle in Middle Eastern politics is between US-backed authoritarian regimes and Islamic fundamentalism.Instead, the recent revolts involve a third force the в
